New Beginnings & Did You Say Giveaway

New Look for the Blog? Check!
Did you notice anything different about this blog today??
Oh you know like how BEAUTIFUL it looks??!
That's because I know an AMAZING blog designer.
I was blessed to meet Kristen at a blogger meet up in Tennessee this summer!

I knew she was the one I wanted to revamp this little old blog of mine.  I didn't have a picture in my head of what I wanted it to look like, but I wanted it to have something to do with all my passions.  I said I wanted it to reflect my eclectic personality and still look professional. She was a dream to work with and took my vague ideas and made it dream come true.

New Last Name? Check!
If you've been following me in the past year and half you've probably figured out that I was tying the knot with Mr. Right.  Maybe you read this post about the signs for engaged teachers. Or maybe it was my last fall break post about getting wedding to-do things done!
Well... it finally happened!
July 18, 2015 was the best day of my life so far.
I cried, I laughed, I kissed, and there was lots of laughing.  I even had some of my blogging besties present!  I couldn't be a luckier girl!

New Grade to Teach? Check!
Like I said in my bio I am a 2nd/3rd grade looping teacher in Indy.  But this is my first year with second graders... EVER!  My first day with them I swear I had sweaty palms and quaking knees. But after a few days full of missing tooth grins, hugs, and giggles I've found I'm exactly where God wants me to be.

With all these new beginnings I thought I'd share the celebrations with everyone and do a give away to celebrate!

    1. Thanks! I love the design too. It's pretty perfect for my personality. Kristen from Chalk & Apples Designs Chalk & Apples Designs is pretty stellar. Having a teaching partner is definitely an interesting new beginning. Hope it continues to go well! :)

      Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I love your blog design! My new beginning is researching science fair projects with my daughter who is in third grade. I've assigned projects to my students, but never had to help my own child do one.

    1. Thanks I'm obsessed with the new design too. As for your new beginning... wow. That's gotta be weird having the tables turned. Her science fair project will be awesome I'm sure because you already know what the expectations are/can be.

  5. Love your new blog! :o)
My "new beginning" - I am back in the classroom!
I missed teaching, and my former principal needed another fourth grade teacher... so the timing was perfect for both of us! Yay!

    1. Congrats on getting back into the classroom. There are many days I wonder if I could ever leave teaching. I'd probably miss it too much too.

  6. Great new blog design! My new beginning is being more of a leader. I'm the "team leader" for my grade, kindergarten, which I haven't taught for the whole year in a few years. The other teacher has never taught kinder before and has only taught for 1 year. New beginnings are challenging but work to better us!

  7. Hi Annie!

You've inspired me in so many ways! Seeing you start your TpT account made me jump on the bandwagon and so far, it's been going great! I've been wanting to start a blog for quite some while, so I hope to do that soon! I absolutely love your new blog look and can't wait to continue to see you grow and excel as an educator!

My "new beginning" is taking on my first student teacher! I'm a control freak, so I thought I would struggle with it. However, I am absolutely loving the experience so far!

    Thanks for all the inspiration!

    1. Aww Donnell!!!
Your words are too sweet. I appreciate all the support. You have to remember I was the one who looked up to you that summer between Alaska and Indiana. Did I read that correctly? Did you open up your own TPT store??! What's the name? As for blogging let me know if I can help you get started. I was so blessed to have some amazing friends who have helped me through all the obstacles.

Your new beginning is wonderful!!! Where do they come from? I am still a few years out from feeling comfortable having a student teacher. :)
